Chess dancers at the Mound

This is the Dansmusician Group from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, on Saturday 2nd August, walking through the Festival crowds on the Mound and handing out flyers as they go. There’s a trailer on Youtube: Chess.

“Set in troubled times of the Chin Dynasty this ancient Chinese tale evokes battles on the field, and in love, of warrior rivals Xiang Lu and Liu Bang. Combining Taiwanese contemporary and traditional music, dance and storytelling in English.” Chess, at Universal Arts Theatre.
